AI Policy
A.I. Generated & Canva Artwork Policy
We're happy to accept A.I. generated and Canva-made artwork. However, A.I. and Canva images often need extra work before they can be screen-printed. A.I. artwork can include blurry details, odd artifacts, or low-resolution areas. As such, these files are not considered "Print Ready." Additional art processing time may extend our standard turnaround time.
Farro's Tees is not responsible for printing issues caused by flaws in your original file.
Please review the following guidelines so your order goes smoothly:
File Quality & File Types
Vector is the most preferred file format:
- .ai (Adobe Illustrator)
- .eps
- .svg
Bitmap files are recommended at 300 DPI or above at the desired output size:
- .png, .psd, .tiff with transparent backgrounds
- .jpeg is not recommended because this format does not support transparent backgrounds
Artwork Preparation Fees
A.I. generated designs may require color separation, cleanup or touch-ups, resolution fixes, and vectorization.
Canva designs often incorporate raster and vector elements into the same file and are output in a non-industry standard format. Text and fonts may not be embedded or outlined, and clipping masks may be undone and reveal hidden objects that the Canva user does not intend to include in the final product. Therefore, we often must completely rebuild the file.
A.I. designs require a final prompt from customers before artwork is sent to be proofed without incurring art charges.
Export artwork on a transparent background in a .png format.
Our art time is billed at $100/hour, in 15-minute increments.
